很多人都喜欢柯基犬的“小短腿”，蹦蹦跳跳很可爱，但因为柯基犬的腿很短，所以出门很容易把地盘弄脏，特别是下雨天出门，更容易把柯基犬弄得脏脏的。
很多人养了之后都觉得帮它清理太麻烦了！
柯基犬的性子很好，跟谁都能混熟，所以这能想到它对人类有多没防备心了吧。即使是面对陌生人，柯基犬都会友好的摇尾巴。
如果带它出去，稍不留心，一遇到有企图的人，可能就会被被人拐走了。
柯基犬特别的贪玩，每天至少要出门两次左右，有时候会更多，因为它特别的喜欢散步、奔跑，有时候晚上十点多了，它也会暗示你带它出去玩。
如果没有得到足够的运动量，它就会发挥它的好奇心，在家里翻箱倒柜，对新奇的东西喜欢用尝、咬来探个究竟，破坏力十足，拆家不在话下。
还有养了柯基犬之后要注意，由于柯基犬的体型，腿部很短而身形很长，这就会导致脊椎负担很大，骨折的概率会大很多。
所以千万要记住的一点，不要让柯基爬楼梯，经常爬楼梯只会增加脊椎和四肢的负担，增加骨折和腰椎盘突出的几率。
还有饲养柯基犬要很细心，因为它有个“玻璃胃”，可以和哈士奇有得比，吃错东西就容易拉稀、呕吐，一个月内起码有十几天都是拉稀呕吐的状态。
柯基犬是很贪吃的，相信这一点很多宠主都知道，什么都想吃，还不止如此，还是易胖体质，一旦柯基犬胖起来，同时也会引起很多疾病的出现，例如常见的高血压、心脏病、高血糖等等。
